First off, let us express our gratitude to everyone who prayed. We couldn't be more thankful for your prayers. They mean so much to us. Receiving messages from so many of you was an encouragement to our family -thank you. So...our appointment for the pregnancy finally arrived -and what news we have to share!! We prayed and discussed, and prayed some more as we traveled to the doctor for our visit. For some reason, that day everything seemed delayed. We waited almost an hour before we saw the doctor! God must have been teaching us patience, but we were anxious to see where everything stood.
When we finally watched the ultrasound technician begin viewing the baby, we bombarded her with questions of how things were with the baby. See said that the cyst was GONE! Hallelujah number one! Then she checked the placenta's position and said IT HAD MOVED!! Hallelujah number two! We were elated to hear the news!
Everything else with the baby was fine, except for one thing. On Brielle's last appointment, she was measuring a week behind; this month Brielle is measuring two weeks behind. This will mean that our visits will have to be twice as frequent (every two weeks instead of four). Now the doctor didn't mention any specific concerns, but just wanted to watch the baby a little more closely. Please continue to pray for Brielle to develop on track in her size. It could be that Brielle's next growth spurt is still coming up. Kate's mom also had small babies (her smallest was under five pounds), and ours have been smaller too. So Brielle may just be a small baby. One person suggested that perhaps God has kept Brielle small so that the placenta could move out of the way. If the baby were too big, then the placenta couldn't move. So this size 'issue' may be a divine act in order for God to work with the placenta issue. It could be in part that the due date is wrong. Our prayer is that Brielle does continue to grow without falling behind anymore. God has heard, and will continue to hear. Will you continue to pray with us?
