So, a lot has happened since we had Brielle! Let’s recap on what the Lord has done, and we’ll also reveal some new stuff we have coming out!
After Brielle, we headed out West last summer. We had opportunity to preach at new churches in Texas, Nevada, and California. It was wonderful making new friends and driving through a new part of the country. That November I had the opportunity to preach to several hundred at a rescue mission. About 250 individuals raised their hand for salvation during the invitation! It was a huge blessing to be able to preach to a crowd who knew they needed help, and Jesus was the answer!
That December, our pastor resigned. The Lord simply called Him to move on to a new ministry. He is now pastoring the Charity Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN. God providentially had brought a man along who is from this area to become our interim pastor. It was a smooth transition, and it’s been a joy serving with the man God has brought. He has pastored for over thirty years in the area and in New Mexico. Geary Miller and his wife, Debbie, are true servants of our Savior. We love them and their heart for the Lord.
In March, we had a revival meeting at Charity Baptist Church. It was the first meeting for Pastor Leo Mejia at his new church. It was an honor being there. One special story from that meeting was about a young person. I meet him that Sunday morning in the bathroom and just said hello and asked about his future. He was just visiting that day, but ended up coming every service after that too! A few services into the meeting, he came during the invitation and received Christ as his Savior. What a blessing! He was so on fire to do the right thing after that. I learned a little more about this young man later. A man in the church used to coach Tee-ball, and saw this boy who couldn’t play because of money. So he paid his fee to play, and since then (now several years later) has been able to influence him to visit church on occasion so that he could finally get saved! What a testimony! You never know how the Lord can use a kind gesture. I believe many will never know just how big their impact was until being in heaven.
This summer we look forward to several meetings in the Midwest after doing VBS at our church. Then in the early fall, we’ll be spending some time ministering at several new churches in the Carolinas.
We’d also like to announce our new website! The domain is still the same PronouncingChrist.com, but the design is an upgrade. We went with a more content-driven design that incorporates several new resources! The article on preparing for revival is still available, as well as free graphics optimized for desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile devices. More messages are available also. The Bible Sense blog has finally launched; follow the link on the site to read the first article! Finally, something I’m very excited about are our annual Bible reading plans. There are four to choose from. One takes you through the Bible from cover to cover. Another plan takes you through the Bible chronologically, reading the events in the order that they happened. There is a plan that allows you to read through the Old and New Testaments simultaneously, as well as a mixed plan that covers a variety of passages every day. Be sure to visit our new site, and enjoy!
We thank you for your prayers and support. Our updates will be more frequent. The new site delayed some of this. A few days ago we thought all subscribers would have to resubscribe, but the old subscription is still active. However, a new sign up is available that will direct people to the posts on the site. If you would like the new subscription, go to our new site and unsubscribe from our current list from one of our Ministry News email updates. Continue to keep the us in your prayers!
Keep in touch with our ministry by following our blog. We will post updates of what God is doing in our ministry.
