As we look back on this past year, we are thrilled with what the Lord has done! We have also realized that trying to condense a year in one post is a little difficult; so we have decided to make posts monthly. Let's find a place to begin...
In March I had the opportunity to travel out West, attend my older brother's police academy graduation, and minister at few churches that are dear to us. We had traveled up in the Midwest region twice this year, and had the opportunity to partner with several new churches in Indiana, Ohio, and West Virginia. One highlight was preaching at a Youth Conference hosted by Martinsville Baptist Tabernacle. It's been a blessing to see God provide a message thats needed in the services, and then see people receive it and act on it. It's been a pleasure making new friends during this past year.
Our family is really growing up! Izzy is two now, and T.J. is now one year old! It's amazing seeing him in such good health, when just a little over a year ago we were overwhelmed with concerns due to the compilation of the pregnancy. Izzy loves singing, and I think she may be joining us on stage for some specials this next year. For now, T.J. just laughs and makes noise, but he'll be joining our trio too someday.
At our home church we enjoyed helping with our VBS program. Our pastor and his wife had their second child, a little girl, in the beginning of the week; this meant taking things over for the rest of the program. We saw several decisions made that week. Our church also held a new event called, The Great Pumpkin Festival. While we were up north during the actual event, we had part in its preparation. The church had over 300 in attendance, with a clear Gospel presentation and follow up cards for those present. We were excited to hear that the event went so well!
It's been our desire to spread the Gospel as much as possible, to as many as possible, through whatever means possible. This of course includes one on one interactions, evangelistic events and public preaching, printed materials, and technology. A new project I have undertaken is a Gospel site. The website is live, but will see additions to its content in the near future. This new website, www.knowJESUS.life, currently calls people to focus on what's after death, then explains the Gospel message. The site also includes direction as to what comes next for the believer. Content that will be coming soon will include articles that deal with common preventatives when hearing the Gospel. Also in the future, we desire to have a clear video presentation of the Gospel on the site as well. The Gospel tracts I use personally will be update with links and QR codes that direct readers to this new Gospel sharing site. This is helpful for instances in which I may not have the ability to walk through the full plan of salvation with somebody, or I'm forced to be brief due to the circumstance, but individuals can still access a complete presentation online. A popular tract I use is a businesscard-sized tent tract. With minimal space, the Gospel is very brief, but now there will be direction to where a fuller explanation can be given. These are perfect for leaving in the card reader at the pump, carrying when not having large pockets, and also have a though provoking cover. These tracts are available for purchase on our main website, www.PronouncingChrist.com, if you think they could be a help to you or your ministry. The designs are being updated to reflect links to the new site. They are fully customizable as well. Please pray that God can use this to help win people with the Gospel.
As our family grows and grows up, we are in need of a little more space. Our family currently travels in a midsize SUV, but we are getting tight on space. This has worked well for us, and has been an economical solution, then in between traveling we stay in our church's prophet's chamber. We are looking to get a slightly larger midsize SUV with a small enclosed trailer so we can travel a little easier, and allow space for instruments and book table materials. Please pray for wisdom as we look for the best deal, God's provision, and most importantly God's direction in this.
We do ask for your prayers as we strive to serve Jesus. Pray for opportunities for service, as well as expanding to new avenues in which we can spread the Gospel. We want to be doing all we can in this area! Thank you for your support in prayer!
